Montessori Expert Talk & Coffee

Join us for a relaxed Mum Circle meet-up at Orpington GPO (a spacious, pram-friendly venue) for coffee, connection, and a Montessori talk for babies and toddlers with local expert Raquel Martins (@housemartinsmontessori), founder of baby and toddler Montessori classes in Crystal Palace.

This informal session is a great chance to ask questions, share experiences, and discover simple Montessori Method principles you can bring into everyday life at home with your little one — whether you're curious about sensory play, child-led learning, or just after some fresh ideas.

We'll chat about topics including:

• What Montessori actually means for babies and toddlers

• The importance of play in the early years and child-led education

• Active vs. Passive toys - and how to choose well

• Practical life activities to encourage independence and resourceful thinking at home

• Setting up a Montessori-friendly space and sensory baskets at home

• Book recommendations to support Montessori learning

• Everyday routines the Montessori way

• And of course, plenty of time to play!

Raquel will set up the room just as she does in her Housemartins classes - with toys, music, and sensory baskets for babies and toddlers to explore and enjoy throughout the session.

We'll also be running a raffle, with one lucky mum from our attendees winning a free class at one of Raquel's Montessori sessions in Crystal Palace!

We'll also have delicious locally made protein balls from Anastasia's Pantry for everyone to enjoy alongside their drink.

The session is suitable for mums with babies and toddlers of all ages who are curious about Montessori.

Come along for a coffee, supportive conversation, and a hands-on introduction to the Montessori Method - helping make everyday moments with your little one feel a little more intentional (and a lot more fun).
